The term 'Muscle Memory' isn't quite a true term as muscles don't actually have any memory, its the nerves around each muscle that are the educational and learning / memory parts of the muscle. Repeating a movement on a regular basis not only creates muscle fitness (flexibility & strength) it also creates a neurological language the body's nervous system understands and learns from. If continually practiced this ultimately creates an engrained and subconscious fitness the body uses automatically when called upon! E.g. Who taught us to walk?
